The first way to prevent arthritis would be to stay active. It’s important to keep your joints moving so that they do not wear down. This even helps if you are already experiencing knee pain. It may hurt at first, however, in the long run, you will see a big improvement in the pain levels.

Another thing that you can do in preventing arthritis is to avoid high-impact activities. This means when you are looking for ways to stay active, pick ways that are not too complicated. A perfect example of what not to do would be running. Instead, try to walk short distances.

Weight is the last area that you can focus on when improving your arthritis. Being overweight can make arthritis much worse. This doesn’t mean that skinny people can’t get arthritis, however, they will be in better shape than someone facing the same problem at a higher weight.
